PwC celebrates Christmas with two orphanages, promotes environmental awareness
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Ghana has donated items and equipment valued at over GH₵120,000 to two orphanages in the Greater Accra Region in celebration of this year’s Christmas season.
The two beneficiary orphanages, Chosen Children’s Home at Darkuman in Accra and Newlife Children’s Home at Nungua, received bags of rice, cooking oil, bunk beds, mattresses, and assorted drinks.

The donations, funded through contributions from PwC staff, were presented last Friday with festive celebrations and a focus on teaching the orphans about environmental sustainability.
This staff-led initiative was designed to spread warmth and joy during the holiday season while promoting sustainability and raising awareness about climate-related issues. It saw staff members coming together to make a positive impact on the lives of the less privileged.
Commitment to society
According to the PwC Ghana, Partner, Tax Reporting and Strategy, Dzidzedze Fiadjoe the initiative is part of the firm's commitment to giving back to society and promoting sustainability.
"As a responsible corporate citizen, we recognize the importance of contributing to the well-being of our communities; our season of smiles event is a testament to our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others,” he stated.
He added that the initiative also highlights the firm's commitment to promoting sustainability and raising awareness about climate-related issues.

The management and staff of the two orphanages were overwhelmed with joy and gratitude as they received the items. They expressed their heartfelt appreciation to PwC Ghana for the kind gesture, which they said would go a long way in supporting the care and well-being of the children.
Green and sustainability
Some staff members took time to teach some orphans on the good usuage of recycled products and how to implement greening in their environment and the school.
Mr Hayfron Aboagye, who is in charge of Human Capital Leader at PwC, emphasised the importance of giving back and fostering community spirit.
"The PwC Season of Smiles embodies the holiday season's essence spreading joy, making an impact, and creating lasting memories; it is incredible to see our staff come together to support these amazing children and champion sustainability in such meaningful ways, " he stated.
