Rawlings, Nana Konadu greet Muslims

Former President Jerry Rawlings and his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings have extended their best wishes to all Muslims in Ghana and beyond on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.

In a brief statement issued Monday, the former couple said “Your celebration today is the conclusion of a month-long sacrifice of fasting aimed at seeking Allah’s strength and guidance in our daily affairs.
“As you break your fast and congregate today to offer prayers for unity, love and peace, do remember to say a prayer for national goodwill and strength of conviction to confront the many challenges our country faces.
“We join you in your prayers and wish you peace, love and happiness in your celebrations.
“Eid Mubarak!”
