Reconstituted YEA board inaugurated

An eight member reconstituted board of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations has been inaugurated at the Ministry in Accra.

The board which has four year mandate is to guide the management through the formulation of appropriate policies to strengthen the systems and structures of the agencies.

Under the chairmanship of Mr Samuel A. Jabanyite, the board is also mandated to establish district and regional offices to run the operations of the agency.

Other members of the board are Ms Alice Attipoe, Ms Emma Akua Amankwa, Mr Eugene Korletey, Ms Frieda Yandanbon Billa, Mr Ras Mubarak, Mr Courage Barlon and Mr Vincent Kuagbenu, the CEO, YEA.

Mr Haruna Iddrisu, sector minister who inaugurated the board later led the board members and members of the parliamentary select committee on employment to pay a familiarization visit to the Dignity DTRT Company, an apparel and textile company at Adabraka in Accra
The visit was to enable the board members to acquaint themselves with the operations of the company.
