The items included two computers and accessories, three cartons of Milo, clothing and toiletries.

The President of the Rotract Club of Accra Ring Road Central, Mr Kwame Gyamfi Boateng, who presented the items, said the donation was for the upkeep of the children.

He explained that every year, the club funds a project for the orphanage but this year it found it prudent to provide the home with the assorted items.

Receiving the items, the founder of the orphanage, Mr Emmanuel Quartey, commended the club for its support, which he said would help cater for the 50 children.

“As an orphanage, we are providing support for needy children, including street children and orphans from the James Town community and its surroundings. We have a platform where the children exhibit their musical talents and we have a recording studio for that,” he said.
