The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) will conduct planned maintenance works in several regions on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, as part of efforts to enhance electricity supply reliability.
In the Greater Accra Region, the exercise will take place from 9:00am to 5:00pm and will affect Glefe, Wiaboman, Tuba, Kokrobite, Old Bortianor, Old Aplaku, New Bortianor, Red Top, Russia, Komanko, Old Police Barracks, Alhaji Kpege, West Legon, Pantang Junction, Oyarifa, Kaybee, Teiman and surrounding areas.

The Volta Region will also experience outages during the same time frame, with Hodzo and its surrounding communities listed as the affected areas.
In the Ashanti Region, GRIDCo will undertake the maintenance from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Communities to be affected include Central Market, Stadium, Kyektewere, Kunka, Tutuka, Akaporiso, Akrofuom, Okyerekrom, Obuasi Zongo, Tweapease, Numereso, Hia, New Edubiase, Adanse Asokwa, Fumso and surrounding areas.
In the Western Region, GRIDCo’s works will run from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The areas to be impacted are Esiama Township, Nkroful, Aiyinase, Eikwe, GREL, Princess Town, Atuabo, Asasetre, Gwira Banso, Bamiako, Ahanta Abura, Gwira Eshiem, Maaha Beach, Asemkrom, Jema, Bounso, Omanpe, Kwahu, Enchi Township, Achimfo, Adjoum, Abokyia, Yakaji, Akontombra, Nkwanta, Half Assini Township, Banyim, Bawia, Mbem, Samanye, Mpataba, Tikobo 1 & 2, Alawule, Elubo, Bonyere, Ezinlibo and neighbouring communities.
The ECG has apologised for the inconvenience the outages may cause, assuring customers that the works are necessary to enhance service delivery.
