The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) have announced planned and emergency maintenance works across multiple regions on Thursday, August 14, 2025, as part of efforts to improve service delivery.
In the Western Region, GRIDCo will carry out maintenance from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., affecting Esiama Township, Nkroful, Aiyinase, Eikwe, GREL, Princess Town, Atuabo, Asasetre, Gwira Banso, Bamiako, Ahanta Abura, Gwira Eshiem, Maaha Beach, Asemkrom, Jema, Bounso, Omanpe, Kwahu, Enchi Township, Achimfo, Adjoum, Abokyia, Yakaji, Akontombra, Nkwanta, Half Assini Township, Banyim, Bawia, Mbem, Samanye, Mpataba, Tikobo 1 & 2, Alawule, Elubo, Bonyere, Ezinlibo and surrounding communities.
ECG will also undertake planned maintenance in the Ashanti Region between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., affecting Aboaso, Kona, Dumanafo, Dwumakwai, Tano Dumasi, Mpobi, Ejuratia, Ntonso, Fawoade, Asonomaso, Mamponteng and surrounding areas.
In the Greater Accra Region, ECG will carry out emergency maintenance from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Mandela, SCC, Sunny Coast, Korkordjor, Kinshasha, Shiabu, Gbegbeyise Beach Road and surrounding areas.
GRIDCo will further undertake emergency works at the Ho Bulk Supply Point in the Volta Region from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Areas to be affected include Trafalgar Hospital, Ho Youth Centre, Agblefe, Adaklu Abuadi, Nurses Training School, Veterinary Office, Soldiers Barracks, Daa Bra, Fiave, Food and Distribution, 66 Artillery Training Centre, Big Market, Anlokodzi, Kpenoe, Hodzo, Akoefe, Tanyigbe and surrounding communities.
Both ECG and GRIDCo have apologised for the inconvenience the maintenance works may cause to affected residents and businesses.
