Other communities to be affected include SCC, Sunny Coast, Korkordjor, Musuku Town, Ashongman Community Hospital, Obaahemaa, Aggie Spot, Ashongman Estate, Kanda Mosque, Lugah Park, Golden Tulip, the National Investment Bank, the Energy Commission, and surrounding areas.
The Tema Region will also be affected on Tuesday, August 26, with outages scheduled between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. The areas to experience power cuts include High Tension, Nungua Royal Park, Blue-Blue, Community 5, 6, 12, and their environs.
On the same day, parts of the Volta Region will also be affected. From 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Dave, Ho Airport, Tritrinu, Agbokorpe, Wumenu, Akpokorpe, Agortime, Kpetoe, Ziope, and surrounding areas will be without power. Another planned exercise in the region, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, will affect Tokokoe, Tanyigbe, the 66 Artillery Training Centre, and their surroundings.
ECG has further disclosed that in the Greater Accra Region, Tuesday’s works from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm will also impact Odorkor, Awoshie, Gbawe, New Bortianor, Adanseman, Cassava Farm, Mr Obeng Block Factory, Oshiyie, Shiabu, Gbegbeyise Beach Road, Ogbojo Town, Botwe St. Peters, Sraha, Cantonments, and surrounding communities.
Meanwhile, ECG has attributed some recent outages to faults. In the Ashanti West Region, power supply was interrupted on Sunday, August 24, due to fallen conductors at Suame, near Mathias Junction. The company confirmed that Suame and surrounding areas were affected and assured that engineers were working to restore supply.
Similarly, in the Tema Region, a broken pole on Monday, August 25, led to outages in Magna Terris, Ambassador Hotel, and their environs. ECG says its engineers are working to fix the pole and restore supply as soon as possible.
The utility company apologised to customers for the inconvenience caused by both the planned and emergency outages, stressing that the exercises are part of efforts to “improve service delivery.”
