The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that parts of the Greater Accra, Tema and Central regions will experience power outages on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, due to planned maintenance works.

The exercise, which forms part of efforts to improve service delivery, will take place between 9am and 4pm in the Tema and Central regions, and from 9am to 5pm in Greater Accra.

In the Tema Region, the areas to be affected include HFC Estates, Mount Carmel, ARS, Buena Vista Homes (Beach Drive), Posilipo, Doryumu, Wildlife Gate, Eastern Quarries, Twin Quarries, Recycling, Inzag, and Mawu be ji be, as well as surrounding communities.

Communities in the Central Region that will be without power during the period are Fiifi Pratt, Millennium Junction, Nyanyano township, Ojobi, Akraman, Breku township, Senya township, Bonsuoku, Ahentia, Small London, Bontroase, Fetteh township and nearby areas.

In the Greater Accra Region, the planned maintenance will affect Dodowa, Sasaabi, Malejor, Oyibi, Apollonia, Adombrobe, Ayikuma, Doryumu, Shai Hills, Seduase, Mensah Bar, Bawaleshie, Abease, Achiama, Obeyeyie, Ayikai, Doblo, Red Top and their environs.

The power distributor has apologised for the inconvenience the outages may cause to customers in the affected areas and has assured that the maintenance exercise is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the electricity supply.
