Lawyers for Mr Senyo Hosi, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors have written to Mr Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, asking for a retraction and apology for the "bribery and corruption" claims he made against him [Hosi] on Thursday.

The letter dated June 30, 2017, which was written by A. Partners@Law was copied to the Editor/Management of Oman FM and Madam Afia Akoto, Deputy Executive Secretary of MASLOC.
The letter stated that Mr Agyapong's written retraction and apology, which must be delivered within 24 hours from 5pm today [Friday], must be given the "same publicity and prominence as the defamatory claims and must be unequivocal, unconditional and subject to the prior approval," of Mr Hosi and his team of lawyers.

DEMAND NOTICE - RETRACT & APOLOGISE FOR DEFAMATORY CLAIMS AGAISNT MR. SENYO HOSI - CEO OF CBOD
We hold the instructions of Mr. Senyo Hosi, Chief Executive Officer - Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors, to demand a retraction and apology for your bribery and corruption claims against him on your Oman 107.1 FM radio.
Our client takes notice that you have repeated the outright falsehoods on other media and succeeded in getting other persons join you in further spreading same widely since Thursday June 29 2017 or thereabout.

Your written retraction and apology, which must be delivered within 24 hours from 5pm today, must be given the same publicity and prominence as the defamatory claims and must be unequivocal, unconditional and subject to the prior approval of our client and his team of lawyers.
Our client, for the avoidance of doubt, wishes to place on record that your said allegations are completely false and that he has never been offered or offered to buy or engage in any transaction of a commercial nature with the BOST, its CEO, any of its officers or third-parties however described.
Our client has, by virtue of his office and expertise, been part of two brief meetings with key stakeholders and the BOST CEO to seek solutions that serve the best interest of the state and the public regarding the issue involving sale of contaminated fuel, and is still committed to said pursuit.
We have firm instructions to, without further notice to you, and upon your failure, neglect or refusal to fully satisfy our client's demands herein, take out a suit and hold you, your said radio station and all those carelessly and maliciously repeating the false claims, liable.

We emphasise that those engaged in republication of the allegations are by copy of this notice deemed duly served separately to also comply with our client's demands separately on same terms herein.
