SIC Insurance wins ‘Cedant of the Year’ award
SIC Insurance Company Limited has been adjudged “Cedant of the Year”. The award was presented at the Ghana Reinsurance Company’s 6th Cedants’ Awards Night, held at the La Palm Royal Beach hotel in Accra at the weekend.

The company was honoured in the general business category for the year 2014.
The “Cedants’ Awards Night” was established six years ago to show appreciation to local insurance companies for their diligent efforts, loyalty and support for Ghana Re and the industry as a whole.
Held on the theme: “Insurance – A tool for national development” the occasion was used to recognise and reward companies which made notable contributions in the 2014 financial year.
The acting Managing Director of SIC, Mr. Kwei Mensah Ashidam, in his acceptance speech, expressed appreciation to the organisers for recognising the efforts of hard-working companies in the industry
He dedicated the award to SIC’s cherished clients and customers for supporting the company’s growth over the years.
Other companies that received awards on the night included Metropolitan Insurance Company Ltd, Ghana Union Assurance Life Company and J.B. Boda Reinsurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd
Among the guests were Dr Joyce Aryee, former Chief Executive Officer, Ghana Chamber of Mines, Simon Davor, Deputy Commissioner of Insurances and Mr Mike Hammah, Chairman of the Board of Directors for SIC Insurance Co. Ltd.
