Support Services hold thanksgiving service

The Support Services Brigade Group of the Ghana Armed Forces yesterday held a non-denominational thanksgiving service in Accra to thank God for His mercies in 2013.

Preaching the sermon, Sheikh Fusseini Hassan Yeboah, an Imam and Muslim activist, advised the congregation to always show humility before God.

He enjoined them to uphold virtues such as honesty and the act of giving.

“Let God lead you and avoid greed and ingratitude because they can harm you in your spiritual growth,” he advised.

Gratitude to God

Major Benjamin Godson Kumi-Woode, Chaplain of the Pentecost Church at the Burma Camp, counselled the congregation to worship and praise God at all times, irrespective of their social and economic conditions.

“Let us show gratitude to God from our hearts and thank Him for all He has done for us,” he said.

The Commandant of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPC), Major General Obed Boamah Akwa, commended the leadership and staff of the Support Services Brigade Group for what he described as their sterling performance in 2013.

He advised the personnel to be professional in the execution of their duties, adding: “We should learn from our mistakes to improve our performance.”
