University of Ghana student installed queenmother

A final year student of the University of Ghana, Legon, Ms Amanda Naa Aku-Shika Addotey, has been installed queenmother of the Nungua Traditional Area in the Greater Accra Region.

The linguist (Okyeame) of the traditional area, Nii Atoprah, presented the new queenmother, whose stool name is Manye Naa Aku Ofennu IV, to the traditional council.

In her remarks, Manye Ofenuu called on all residents of the traditional area to stay united and commit themselves to the growth and development of the area.

She also called on all the divisional and sub-chiefs in the area to also stay united and focused while they forged ahead towards developing the area.

Loyalty and faithfulness

She promised her loyalty, faithfulness and commitment to the vision and mission of the paramountcy, to enhance the development of the area.

The Nungua Paramount Chief, Odehe Kpakpa King Odiafio Welentsi III, congratulated the new queenmother and urged her to place a high premium on youth development in support of the national development agenda.

Manye Ofenuu is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts programme in Information Studies and History.
