The plan, which will guide the University over the next five years from 2024 to 2029, seeks to reinforce the University's commitment to excellence and global impact.

In a statement issued on July 16, 2024, the Director of Public Affairs, Elizier Ameyaw-Buronyah, explained that the new vision is focused on achieving global impact through innovative research, teaching, and learning, using a technology-driven and people-centered approach.

The five-year vision is anchored on five pillars, reflecting the University's dedication to sustainability, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring it remain at the forefront of academic and research excellence globally.

In addition to the strategic plan, three critical documents will be introduced to chart the course for the University's future development; Revised Statutes, Research Strategy, and a Manual on Human Resource Management and Administrative Policies and Procedures.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo highlighted the institution's significant strides in world-class, research-intensive endeavors, stressing that it was time to enhance their global impact and build on their solid foundation.

“This also means that we are renewing our commitment to excellence in all aspects of our mission. In the next five years, guided by this Strategic Plan, the University will be seeking to elevate and provide a transformative student experience, enhance impactful research and build robust engagements and partnerships. I, therefore, invite all our internal, external and international partners to share in our vision and support the cause,” she stated.

The goal, Prof. Amfo explained, was to bolster the University's contributions to national and global development by harnessing the full potential of its diverse community, using a technology-driven and people-centered approach.

"We look forward to creating a future in which our research, teaching and learning have a profound and lasting impact on lives and societies. We can only achieve this by working together." Prof. Amfo added.
