VIDEO: Truck overturns on Achimota-Tesano road
A truck overturned on the Achimota to Tesano road in Accra on Saturday evening, January 25, causing severe traffic congestion as vehicles were forced to use a single lane.
Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were recorded, as the truck driver, who was the sole occupant, escaped the accident unscathed.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver claimed that another vehicle suddenly cut into his lane, prompting him to swerve in an attempt to avoid a collision. This manoeuvre, however, resulted in him losing control of the truck, which subsequently overturned.
The identity and details of the other vehicle remain unknown, as it reportedly fled the scene after the incident.
Traffic wardens were later seen at the accident site directing and helping drivers to navigate a single lane. Motorists are urged to remain cautious while driving along the route.
