President John Dramani Mahama has assured that his government will continue and complete the Agenda 111 hospital projects, an initiative of the erstwhile government – the New Patriotic Party, dismissing concerns that the initiative has been abandoned.
Speaking at Paga in the Upper East Region on Thursday, August 13, President Mahama said 35 hospitals that are at least 70 per cent complete have been prioritised for completion this year, with funding allocated for the projects.
He said another 20 hospitals with at least 50 per cent completion will be selected next year, with further projects expected to be completed in 2028.
He added that priority would be given to districts without existing health facilities.
President Mahama also assured residents that the Navio Bridge would soon be awarded on contract, while promising to address water supply challenges by coordinating the efforts of Community Water and Ghana Water Limited to improve access to potable water in the area.
