There is a multiple vehicle collision at the Ofankor barrier in Accra.
According to the Ghana National Service Fire (GNFS), at least about five deaths have been recorded with several others injured.
The accident vehicles include two tipper trucks, a mini bus and a tricycle (aboboyaa).
The accident occurred in the express lane from the Pokuase side heading towards Achimota at about 4am.
There is a mounting heavy morning vehicle traffic congestion in that area. The police has directed vehicular traffic unto the outer service lane.
Personnel from fire service and the police are at the scene to rescue the injured and maintain law and order.
Some victims are trapped in the mini bus, which has badly been mangled.
