Esther pleaded not guilty to the charge of assault when she appeared before the court presided over by Mr James Kojo Botah.

She was granted bail in the sum of GH₵5000 and was also asked to provide one surety.

The facts of the case as presented by Sergeant Loise Konadu were that Diana Sacker and Esther Addo are cousins who both live in Accra.

According to Prosecutor Konadu, for some time now, Diana and Esther had been litigating over a family property at Okaishie which is pending before court.

The prosecutor said on March 30, 2016, Diana saw Esther with eight men on the said piece of land trying to remove a container she had rented out to a tenant.

Sergeant Konadu said Diana questioned Esther and the men about where they were moving the container to but no response was given.

As a result, Diana decided to take a photograph of the scene, while doing so, Esther attacked her.

Diana reported the case to the police and Esther was charged with the assault offence.
