Women Empowerment Fellowship resources three institutions

Women Empowerment Fellowship International (WEFI), a non-profit organisation has presented a number of items valued at GH¢16, 100 to resource three institutions.

The beneficiary institutions are the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), All Nations Charity Home and Duase Roman Catholic Primary School.

The items were presented by the President of the WEFI, Mrs Doris Amankwa who asked the beneficiary institutions to take proper care of them and use them for the intended purposes.

She said since the inception of the WEFI five years ago, it had been its mission to support the needy in society and help in reshaping their lives. She also pledged continuous support for the beneficiary institutions and required of their support in prayers.

At KATH in Kumasi, the WEFI presented general paediatric equipment valued at GH¢4, 800.00 for emergency usage at the Paediatric Emergency Unit (PEU). The PEU has been adopted by the WEFI and contributing its widow’s mite to resource the unit to improve efficient health delivery.

A Deputy Director of Nursing Services (DDNS), Philomena Nyame Saim who received the equipment on behalf of the PEU, expressed gratitude to the WEFI for the benevolence.

At Ayigya, the WEFI presented exercise books, 10 creates of egg, five boxes of biscuit, toilet rolls, toffees, Indomie noodles and assorted drinks valued at GH¢6, 000.00 to the All Nations Charity Home.

The Director of the Home, Rev. Philip Nyamekye thanked the WEFI for the support and asked for its continuous support, adding that their support became a living example for the public to emulate.

At Duase near Kenyase in the Kwabre East District, the WEFI presented 1, 800 copies of exercise books valued at GH¢5, 300 to the Duase RC Primary School. The books were received by the head teacher of the school, Mr Jacob Amike who expressed thanks to WEFI and asked for God’s blessings for the organisation in its effort to support the needy in society.
