Women’s Ministries of SDA Church presents to orphanage

The Women’s Ministries of ACTS 2000 SDA Church at North Suntreso in Kumasi has presented a number of items valued at GH¢1000.00 to the Cherubs Orphanage at Apire in Kumasi.

The items were two gallons of cooking oil, a quantity of soap, two cartons of toilet roll, a sack of orange, as well as new and used clothes and shoes.

Making the presentation, with support from the Pastor of the church, Pastor Kwabena Okyere Darko, the Head of the Women’s Ministries, Mrs Asante Kodua, said the presentation was an annual activity by the group to support the needy in society.

She said the church believed in the giving of alms, as an aspect of evangelism, and gave an assurance that the presentation would not be a nine-day wonder, but rather a continuous activity.

Mr Nicholas Osei Bonsu of the orphanage, who received the items, expressed gratitude to the group and asked for God’s blessings for them, pointing out that apart from tithes and offering, supporting the needy was another important aspect of God’s work.
