Zoomlion Foundation supports Nana Saka Nkansah II Orphanage

Owner of Nana Saka Nkansah II Orphanage/School located at Asante Mampong in the Ashanti region, Nana Agyeiwaa Kodie is calling on well-meaning Ghanaians both home and abroad to come to her aid in order to take care of about 30 orphans under her care.

She made the call when Zoomlion Foundation donated bags of rice, a carton of oil, toiletries, Veronica buckets, waste bins, washing bowls and exercise books to the orphanage and the school at Asante Mampong.

Thomas N. Korley, who led a delegation from Zoomlion Foundation to make the presentation, said his outfit was concerned with the interests of children especially in the area of sanitation and hygiene, hence the donation to ensure that the children remained in a serene environment.

According to him, the Zoomlion Foundation has been at the forefront of championing good hygiene and sanitation practices among school children and will do all it can to ensure that the right sanitation and hygiene facilities are available to the students to learn under sound and conducive environment.

Owner of Nana Saka Nkansah II Orphanage and School could not hide her joy after receiving the donation, and thanked Zoomlion Foundation for the kind gesture. According to her, her desire is for the children at the orphanage to become engineers and other tradesmen thus her appeal for technical, vocational materials and financial support.

According to Nana Kodie, her major supporter in terms of finances and material support, has been former President John Agyekum Kufour.

After the donation, Zoomkids Club Project was launched in the Mampong municipality with a 20 student-members and two teachers. The new club members will be guided by the Zoomlion District Manager, Clement Aboagye to begin citywide source separation of plastic waste.

The vision for the project is to increase awareness on recycling among school children.
