Items donated included filled six kilo cylinders with burners, cartons of milk, rice, oil, sugar, tin tomatoes, beans, gari, wellington boots, raincoats among others.
Speaking to the media, the Vice Chairman of the Ghana Coalition of NGOs in Health, Ninsau K. D. Alazar, explained that the organisation would do more to help victims but for the meantime, they hoped the items donated would help.
He indicated that a rapid assessment for relief items to be donated to the victims suggested the inclusion of filled cylinders to the victims.
Receiving the donation, Deputy Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Seji Saji Amedonu, commended the coalition for their efforts to help the victims.
He commended the coalition for especially the filled cylinders, saying they were targeted needs that victims have been crying out for.
He said together with the other relief items, the donation would go a long way to support the affected communities
