Shalina Healthcare organises free health ccreening for market women and men
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibilities, Shalina Healthcare Ghana Limited has successfully organised a free health screening exercise aimed at enhancing the well-being of the market men and women at Rawlings Park in Accra.
The event, which took place on 20th October 2023, provided a platform for adults and children to access a range of health screening, including Malaria test, Hemoglobin (Hb) test, Hep B and Hep C and Glucose level assessment.

With a firm commitment to promoting health and wellness, Shalina Healthcare Ghana recognized the need to empower and educate the general public about their health. All the participants were educated on disease conditions such as malaria, hypertension, diabetes, skin infection and so on. This initiative brought together medical professionals, volunteers, and the local community to offer vital health services at no cost to the patients.
The free health screening covered a comprehensive array of tests:
- Malaria Testing: To identify and manage one of the most common diseases in the region.
- HB Testing: To assess the hemoglobin levels and check for anemia
- Glucose Testing: To screen for diabetes and support early intervention when necessary.
- Blood Pressure check-up: To identify patient with Hypertension
- Hep B and Hep C screening: To identify patients with Hepatitis for early treatment
The event received an overwhelming response from the participants of all ages, demonstrating the importance of making healthcare accessible to everybody. It also provided an opportunity for all the participants to take charge of their health, understand their current health status, and take steps towards a healthier lifestyle and have also received free medications.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shalina Healthcare Ghana Limited, Mr Amrit Pal Singh said "Shalina Healthcare is committed to ensuring the well-being of all and this free health screening is just one of the several Corporate Social Responsibilities we render to communities in Ghana."
