Accra Business School graduates 190 students
About 190 students have been conferred with various degrees and awarded diplomas by the Accra Business School (ABS) at its ninth congregation.
The graduands, consisting of 150 Masters in Business Administration (MBAs), 28 Postgraduate Diplomas and 12 Bachelors, included the Deputy Health Minister, Dr Bernard Okoe Boye, who was among the graduating MBA students and the keynote speaker.
The event, held at the forecourt of the Accra Business School’s newly constructed Christ Square facility, was christened: “Designing the future”.

President of the School, Prof. Cedric Bell, said the school was committed to repositioning itself for the future to achieve the goal of becoming the leading business school in Africa.
He said the school had established a novelty Home-Uni that offered academic programmes 100 per cent online with a range of academic, professional and upgrading and upscaling short courses that were supposed to open access to academic programmes across West Africa.
The Home-Uni would be offering specialist vocationally orientated Postgraduate Certificate courses in a range of high-demand areas and also Home-Uni to offer intensive high-end African Young Leaders Fellowship Programme to better prepare the next generation of African leaders with effect from January 2021.
The ABS is also enhancing its campus infrastructure. It began the construction of the Christ Square, a modern twin-tower facility comprising a library, 40-bed facility, 12 lecture halls, restaurant, an outdoor eatery and executive learning spaces.
Achievements
The Vice-President of the school, Prof. Elvis Cornerstone, in his report, said as the school celebrated the achievement of graduands in obtaining their awards and degrees, it should pride itself on the quality of its teaching and of the learning and student experience.
In an interview with the media, Bishop Gideon Titi-Ofei, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Accra Business School, emphasised that entrepreneurship education was at the heart of everything it did as the school was established to create job creators and not job seekers.

“These graduands will go out there, create jobs, increase income and reduce poverty. We believe there is a direct correlation between democratic stability and economic empowerment. Every country where people are economically empowered, democracy has thrived. So, for Accra Business School, job creators are at the heart of everything we do and I will say it has been a fantastic journey so far,” he said.
