The Ambassador, who assumed duty last month, has also met with the Dean of Diplomatic Corps to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Dean of African Group of Ambassadors.

As part of his duty tour to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Tijani also met other interest groups including the business community, the Saudi Fund for Development and the Minister in charge of African Affairs to sell the business opportunities in the country.

Conducive climate

He said the country had a conducive climate for business coupled with a stable democratic system and legal system to protect one's investment.

He said there were opportunities in some of the government policies such as the 1D1F, Planting for Food and Jobs and the One-village, One-dam that the private sector could take advantage of and invest.

He thus asked the business community in Saudi Arabia to turn their attention to Ghana and take advantage of the moment and invest there.

Ghana Beyond Aid

Touching on the Ghana Beyond Aid agenda of the government, Alhaji Tijani explained that the agenda was to support local businesses and look inward for home-grown policies and solutions to develop the country and to stop the over- reliance on foreign aid.

He said the agenda was not against foreign aid.
