Don’t allow money to influence you

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region, Mr Issahaku Iddrisu, has advised delegates to the party’s forthcoming regional congress not to allow anyone to influence them with money.

He urged them to elect officers who had the pedigree and potential to change the fortunes of the party in the region for the better.

“Don’t allow yourself to be induced with money or any tangible gifts for your votes. Stand firm and recognise where the truth is. Have the courage to vote for your conscience,” Mr Iddrisu said in a press statement issued in Tamale.

“In this coming election, delegates must look beyond tribal politics and vote for men and women who can do the job,” he stressed.

According to Mr Iddrisu, the current regional executive  members had failed to live up to expectation for which reason they should be rejected at the forthcoming congress.

He said it was clear that entrusting the administration of the NPP in the Northern Region in the hands of the current leadership was a mistake that ought to be corrected.

Mr Iddrisu said members of the NPP in the region had lost confidence in the current executive, adding that the party had “men and women who are capable of giving Ghana first class governance and administration”.
