Ejisu-Juaben Municipality nominated as the 2014 assembly of the year

THE West Africa International Magazine, a leading feature magazine in West Africa, has nominated the Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region as the Municipal Assembly of the year 2014.

The magazine instituted the annual awards scheme six years ago to recognise personalities, companies and institutions in West Africa for their contributions to the economic development of the West African sub-region.

A letter dated January 8, 2015, and signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the West Africa International Magazine, Dr Dee Otibu-Asare, to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ejisu-Juaben, Mr Kwaku Afrifa Yamoah-Ponkoh,  said the assembly had been nominated for its style of governance and the numerous projects initiated and executed, which have convinced the Award Selection Board of the magazine after an annual survey.

The letter reads: “By virtue of your style of governance and numerous projects your Assembly initiated and executed, our Award Selection Board, after their annual survey, has nominated Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Assembly as the municipal of the year 2014”.

The letter requested the assembly to take advantage of the special opportunity to spotlight its corporate achievements in the award edition.

The magazine has the thrust of ensuring that the West Africa sub-region is given a pride of place in Africa.

To attain that lofty objective, the publication has striven to maintain the highest ethical standards of journalism profession through frank, bold and vigorous presentation of facts and figures of interest to the reading public.
