It prayed that God would grant him the wisdom, understanding and guidance to bring about the needed socio-economic development in the country.

At a press conference in Accra last Thursday, the President of the FFMP, Mr Kosi Kedem, also lauded President John Dramani Mahama for his show of magnanimity in conceding defeat.

“It is the hope of the forum that the democratic gesture exhibited by President Mahama through this show of magnanimity will be sustained,” he said.

Commitment to assist

Mr Kedem said the former MPs were ready to assist the incoming government with any advice needed to develop the country.

He said they were ever ready to bring their experiences and expertise to bear on the administration of the affairs of the country.

National good

Mr Kedem advised MPs to let the national interest be their guide in their work in Parliament.

He said with that mindset, they would reach consensus in doing the work of the House, which include legislations and approval of loan facilities and agreements.
