Ga South Assembly provides clinic for Oblogo

The Municipal Chief Executive of Ga South, Mr Jerry Akwei Thompson, has handed over a new health facility to the Oblogo community to help address its health challenges.

The structure was constructed at a cost of GH¢76,443.95, with funding from the District Development Facility (DDF).

Addressing the audience at the ceremony, Mr Thompson said the essence of the establishment of the facility was to improve the quality of life of the people within the assembly's jurisdiction.

He urged the inhabitants to patronise the national health insurance scheme to be able to access medical care.

"This health facility belongs to the people of Oblogo and its environs and I expect the health directorate to put the appropriate mechanism in place to maintain the facility," he said.

According to him, access to medical care is a basic priority for every mankind to access better healthcare. 

Mr Thompson, therefore, advised the operators of the clinic to respond and provide effective and customer-oriented service for their clientele.

The Municipal Health Director of Ga South, Dr Jacqueline Sfarijlane, expressed her appreciation to the MCE and the Dzasetse of Oblogo for providing land for the construction of the facility and their immeasurable support to spearhead the project.

She further explained that the facility would go a long way to help the inhabitants to obtain proper healthcare.
