Apasera calls on Nayiri, Chereponi chief
The Presidential Candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC), for the December 7, 2020 presidential election, Mr David Asibi Apasera, has reiterated the PNC’s commitment of making education free from kindergarten to the tertiary level.
That, he said, would help build a skilled and resourceful population to contribute to the development of the country.
Mr Apasera said this when he paid a courtesy call on the Overlord of the Mamprugu Kingdom, Nayiri Nabohagu Abdulai Mahami Sheriga, at his palace in Nalerigu last Tuesday as part of his campaign tour of the North East Region, during which he also introduced his running mate, Reverend Dr Divine Ayivor, to the chief.

Insurance
While seeking the support of the chief, Mr Apasera announced plans of a PNC government to implement a special insurance policy for all farmers to cushion them against any form of losses arising from disease or pest attack, bush fires or flooding.
He promised to deliver prosperity to all Ghanaians if elected President on December 7, 2020.
In his address, the Nayiri called for a decorous and civil campaign as well as a very peaceful and incident-free election in December.
Chereponi
In a related development, Mr Apasera has promised to construct a first-class road from Nalerigu to Chereponi to eliminate the travel burden facing the people within the area.
He further indicated that such an intervention would boost the economic activities within the area, thereby empowering the people and improving their livelihoods.
Mr Apasera made the promise in response to an appeal by the Paramount Chief of Chereponi, Nanyame Kofi Malba VIII, for him to prioritise the construction of the Nalerigu-Chereponi road should he assume office as the President after the December 7, 2020 general election.
The PNC presidential candidate paid a courtesy call on the chief when he went to Chereponi to launch the parliamentary bid of the PNC candidate, Mr Eugene T. K Bashiru.
