Charlotte Osei rubbishes ‘mischief’ Ayawaso posters; says she has no interest in being MP
The immediate past chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Charlotte Osei has rubbished reports that she was interested in the vacant Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary seat on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“I am not and have never been a registered member of any political party in Ghana or anywhere in the world,” she stated in a post on Instagram.

She also said she did not reside in Ayawaso West Wuogon and so she does not even qualify to run for MP there.
“I have no interest whatsoever in running for Parliament and have never had that interest. Please, find better use of your artistic talent than mischief-making,” Mrs Charlotte Osei posted on Wednesday.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon seat became vacant after Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko died in November after an illness.
Following his death, some constituents have been campaigning for a successor.
