It is to promote and support independent parliamentary aspirants to contest in the December 7 general election, across all 276 constituencies in the country.

Vision

The founder of the group, John Yeboah, said the IPAGG was established in response to the growing need for significant change within Ghana's political system.

“By focusing on independent candidates, IPAGG aims to offer an alternative to the traditional party-driven approach that has dominated the country’s politics for years.

The group believes that independent candidates can bring fresh perspectives and solutions to the challenges facing Ghana,” he said.

Mr Yeboah stated that IPAGG's vision was to foster a more inclusive and representative parliamentary system where diverse voices were heard, and decisions were made in the best interest of the entire nation, free from partisan influences.

He added that the organisation was committed to providing resources, support and a platform for independent candidates to succeed in the political arena.

“As the 2024 general election approaches, IPAGG plans to actively engage with voters, stakeholders, and the media to raise awareness of the importance of electing independent candidates.

The group is also working to ensure that these candidates have the necessary tools and support to campaign effectively and win seats in Parliament,” he said.

“With this initiative, IPAGG hopes to inspire a movement that will lead to a more balanced and accountable political system in Ghana, ultimately contributing to the nation’s democratic growth and development,” Mr Yeboah stated.
