Mahama needs your votes to fulfil his promises — Lordina Mahama
A Former First Lady, Lordina Mahama, has urged the electorate in the Ahafo, Bono and Bono East regions to vote for former President John Dramani Mahama in the forthcoming general election.
She said the manifesto of the NDC had laudable policies that would turn the fortunes of the country around.

She made the appeal when she met queenmothers in the three regions to campaign for votes for Mr Mahama, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as part of the #Mahama4Change2024 venture.
Mrs Mahama, who held separate meetings with the regional associations of queenmothers in Sunyani, Kenyasi and Techiman, promised to work with Ghanaians to “Build the Ghana We Want.”
The engagements were part of Mrs Mahama’s campaign across the country to interact with traditional leaders, women and other identified groups to garner their support for her husband.
Initiatives
The president of the Bono East Regional Queen Mothers Association, Nana Serwaa Brakatu Bonsu II, and her fellow queenmothers praised Mr Mahama for the significant initiatives he implemented during his tenure as Vice-President and President.
Some of the interventions included the introduction of allowances for paramount queenmothers, the provision of buses for regional
queenmothers, and numerous developmental projects such as the Mahama E-Blocks, other educational and health facilities, and roads.
The queenmothers in all three newly created regions expressed concern about the neglect and lack of development projects since their creation.

They appealed to the former First Lady to relay their grievances to Mr Mahama and urged him to resume work on all abandoned projects, such as the Wenchi and Ofuman roads and the Wenchi SHS girls’ dormitory, after his re-election in the December election.
Commendation
The queenmothers also commended Mrs Mahama for her interventions during her tenure as First Lady and even while in opposition, and for her recognition of queenmothers and women in general.
They requested that more women be included in the next NDC administration because Ghanaian women had the capacity to excel at every level when given the opportunity.
