Parliament resumes today

The Second meeting of the Second session of the Ninth Parliament commences today.

This was contained in a notice issued by the office of the Speaker of Parliament.

The notice, signed by Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, said: “Pursuant to Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, I, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament, hereby give notice that, the second meeting of the Second session of the Ninth Parliament of the Republic of Ghana shall commence on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon at Parliament, Accra”.

The House adjourned sine die on March 27, 2026, for the Easter break.

The First Meeting of the Second Session lasted for eight weeks of sittings, during which the House held 32 sittings and passed a number of bills.
