Ghana to host conflict seminar

Ghana will on Saturday, March 18, host an international seminar to brainstorm how to address the challenges of conflict to promote national development. The event, dubbed: “Dealing with Conflict – Steps to Resolving Personal and Corporate Conflicts,” is under the auspices of a United Kingdom (UK) leadership development organisation.

Among the key issues to be discussed at the seminar organised by Rehoboth Foundation are sources of conflict, the negative effects of conflicts, negotiation skills, implementing solutions and fair fighting versus negative fighting.

There will also be discussions on steps to resolve personal and corporate conflicts, taking useful cues from biblical and secular contexts. The seminar is opened to individuals, groups, faith-based organisations and corporate bodies.

Relevance

The President of Rehoboth Foundation, Rev. Cecilia Apeagyei-Collins, underscored the need for such an important seminar to be held in the country, especially at a time various forms of conflicts were emerging.

She observed that the peace the country had enjoyed even after the tension-packed 2016 election called for more efforts to be made to build relationships that would sustain the peaceful coexistence.

The motivational speaker urged members of the public to take a keen interest in the seminar, since it was a platform that had the potential to build bonds and foster national unity.
