He said what the country went through during the election petition, power crisis, and in its dwindling revenues were indications that the government needed everyone’s support to succeed.

He made the appeal when he addressed the Odumase-Krobo Coastland Assemblies of God Church at their 25th anniversary celebration on the theme: ‘’Declare the faithfulness of God’’.

Rev. Frimpong Manso said Ghanaians should not rally behind only the political leadership but also all human institutions in the country and fight against poverty and underdevelopment.

‘’We are doing well as a country but what is left now is to work hard and do away with corruption, which is destroying our national development,’’ he emphasised.

He, however, congratulated Ghanaians on the mature and able manner in which they comported themselves during the political turbulence last year.

‘’Let us support and rally behind any government in whatever way for its good policies and programmes meant for our own good to succeed and by so doing, we will be fulfilling the law of Christ as in Galatians 6:2,” Rev Frimpong Manso said.

He also stressed the need for Christians and Ghanaians to support those in need and show kindness so as to lessen the burden of those in trouble.

The general superintendent congratulated the pioneer missionaries from Switzerland and United Kingdom who came and evangelised with the good news of the Assemblies of God Church at Odumase Krobo that yielded so many fruits.

He also congratulated the former General Superintendent, Rev. S.B Asore, his assistant, Rev. Dr Harry Isaidoo, and the Greater Accra Regional Superintendent, Rev. Jonathan Donkor, on their visionary leadership of taking over the church from the missionaries.

Rev. Frimpong Manso was also full of praise for the church board, other members of the church leadership and the entire congregation for their faithfulness, resilience and sacrifices, which had resulted in the speedy growth of the church in the Krobo area.

Rev. Faithful Biney, the founder of the church at Odumase Krobo, who preached the sermon, said we were all accountable for our stewardship and appealed to the country’s leadership to be faithful and use the resources to serve the interest of the citizens of the country.
