Group honours Hassan Ayariga

SESE Group, a Zongo youth group sympathetic to the NDC, has awarded the PNC 2012 Presidential Candidate, Mr Hassan Ayariga, for his outstanding campaign against tribal politics in the country.

A statement signed by the group’s press secretary, Alhaji Alhassan Galadima, described Mr Ayariga as a proven peacemaker.

The statement referred to Mr Ayariga as a true patriot and statesman who has Ghana at heart.

Honour

The award was for his recent participation in a demonstration against tribal politics in the country.

The National Co-ordinator of the Sese Group, Alhaji Issaka Moro, aka Polo 4040, before presenting the award titled ‘Ayariga the emblem of “tribal-free politics’’, called on Ghanaians to condemn all forms of tribalism.

He called on Ghanaians to rather fight discrimination and inequality to make the country a better place.

Mr Ayariga, who hails from Bawku, expressed his appreciation for the award, saying ‘’the best examples of the consequence of tribal bigotry were the many years of unrest at Bawku’’.

He appealed to political leaders to preach politics of unity and not tribalism.
