
How President Mahama was welcomed in New York for UN General Assembly
President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Mahama have arrived in New York to participate in the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
They were received by a throng of Ghanaians residing in the United States of America.
During his stay, President Mahama’s engagements will focus on global peace and security, advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate action and regional economic integration.
These priorities reflect Ghana’s continued commitment to multilateralism and collective solutions to pressing global challenges.
The President is scheduled to address the General Assembly on Thursday, 25th September, 2025 where he will outline Ghana’s perspectives on current international developments and reaffirm the country’s role as a constructive partner in promoting peace, sustainable development, and economic cooperation.
