Jefferson Sackey fails to secure parliamentary seat

Political newcomer and presidential staffer, Jefferson Sackey, was unable to unseat the incumbent Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Abdul Latif Dan, in the race for a seat in the ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
Latif Dan secured 45,066 votes, while Sackey, who mounted a strong challenge, garnered 32,735 votes.
