He also lauded President Mahama for the massive investment in key sectors of the economy like education, health, agriculture, energy and roads, among others, within the first term of the NDC administration, emphasising that such progress was very historic and worthy of commendation.
“Your commitment and zest in the socio-economic, political as well as cultural issues and your leadership style will bring lasting peace and stability to Ghana, which is a prerequisite for accelerated and sustainable development and poverty eradication,” he added
To the other political parties who contested the elections and lost, Mr Asekeya reminded them that the common bond that Ghanaians shared should be maintained at all times, adding that Ghana is far bigger than a political party or an individual and therefore nothing untoward should be done to disturb the prevailing peace; if not posterity, will never forgive them.
He commended the security agencies, media, civil society organisations and traditional authorities for the respective roles they played before, during and after the general election.
