Let’s uphold values of truth, integrity — Prof Delle

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has advised Ghanaians to move away from practices that threaten to destroy the values of truth and integrity.

According to the CPP, many Ghanaians had spent the last month fasting, praying, reflecting soberly and on Easter Day, there was feasting and merry-making; all in remembrance of the resurrection of Christ, but it cautioned “we need to imbibe the values of truth and integrity in all our daily endeavours if the nation is to chalk up enduring legacy and success”.

In an Easter message sent through the Daily Graphic, the National Chairman and Leader of the CPP, Professor Edmund N. Delle, said “as a nation and a people, we need to show love and friendship to our neighbours, our communities and the disadvantaged”.

According to the CPP chairman, Christ endured suffering for mankind but more importantly, Christians should regard Easter as a period for meditating on their individual and collective contributions to their families, society and country.

He therefore enjoined all celebrants, especially the youth, to celebrate in circumspection and moderation to prevent unfortunate aftermath incidents.

Sworn-in CPP government

Prof. Delle also entreated Ghanaians to reflect on the changes that a CPP government could bring to this nation.

“We have done it before and we will do it again,” he assured and implored the Ghanaian electorate to vote for the CPP flagbearer, Mr Kobina Ivor Greenstreet, in this year’s polls

“:This Easter, may we always be blessed with love, life and happiness. May our lives be touched by the true meaning of Easter,” he stated and added, “Let us seek God's guidance in honest, continuous prayer of supplication during this festive period”.
