Linda Akweley Ocloo: Greater Accra Minister-Designate completes vetting without questions
Linda Akweley Ocloo, the Greater Accra Regional Minister-designate, has become potentially the fastest nominee to complete vetting before the Parliamentary Appointments Committee.
During her appearance on Tuesday, January 28, committee members did not pose a single question, allowing her to conclude proceedings in under ten minutes.
Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin remarked that the strong delegation accompanying her was a testament to her competence, while Committee Chairman Bernard Ahiafor acknowledged her guests before swiftly discharging her.
If confirmed, the Shai Osudoku MP is expected to prioritise urban development, youth empowerment, and the improvement of public services in the region.
Her brief session was in stark contrast to that of Defence Minister-designate Dr Omane Boamah, who faced nearly five hours of questioning from committee members.
