The Northern Sector Coordinator of TEIN, Mr Abraham Azumah Lambon, in a press release signed in Bolgatanga,  said the choice of Mr Hannan G.Y. Abdul-Rahaman, National Coordinator of TEIN, as Metropolitan Chief Executive for Tamale was an endorsement of the role of TEIN in the affairs of the NDC.

Mr Lambon said the appointment of one of their kind also signified the recognition of the tremendous role played by TEIN  as the intellectual wing of the NDC,  in national politics  adding that this would serve as a motivation for TEIN members at the various tertiary institutions to give of their best with the hope that at the appropriate time their efforts, expertise and contribution would be recognised by the party and Ghanaians.

While commending Mr Abdul-Rahaman on his nomination,TEIN urged him to work hard to justify the confidence reposed in him and TEIN by this appointment.

“It is our prayer and hope that our comrade will excel at his post so as to assist the President to take Ghana to the ‘promised land’ and open up opportunities for the youth of Ghana to take their proper place in the decision-making process of the country”, Mr Lambon said.
