NPP: Dickson Adomako Kissi wins Anyaa-Sowutuom NPP slot
Dr Dickson Adomako Kissi has won the Parliamentary race of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the Anyaa- Sowutuom constituency.
He won with 324 votes in the contest which was with four candidates including the current Municipal Chief Executive of the area, Dr Emmanuel Lamptey.
The incumbent Member of Parliament, Mrs Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey pulled of this year’s race after holding the seat for 12 years.
After a compilation of the result from 10 polling centers in the area, Mr Kissi who was contesting for the second time, won the highest vote out the 835 total number of votes cast.

There were only three rejected votes.
Although the voting process was calm in area, tension at the coalition center became stronger when the compilation of votes commenced at 1 pm.
Several party members converged at the center to cheer their various candidates.
A joint task force which comprised the police and the military were at the place to ensure the success of the process as well as the observation of the COVID-19 safety protocols.
The only candidates present during the counting process was the Dr Kissi and Mrs Edna Sackey.
Few minutes to the declaration of the results, Mrs Sackey accepted defeat and congratulated Dr Kissi, while assuring him of her support.
