Justice Agbenorsi Politics 1 minute read
The High Court has given the Electoral Commission (EC) up to Monday, January 6, 2025 to collate 31 outstanding polling station results and add same to the 110 already collated results before declaring the winner of the parliamentary election in the Okaikwei Central Constituency.
It has also ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to provide adequate and armed security officers to help the EC undertake the collation.
The order came after the court upheld a mandamus application filed by the parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party in the December 7 elections, Patrick Yaw Boamah.
