PAG mourns victims of helicopter crash
The Progressive Alliance for Ghana (PAG) has expressed profound grief over the deadly helicopter crash near Brofoyedru in the Ashanti Region, which claimed several lives earlier this week.
In a press statement signed by its chairman, Prof. (Med) Thaddeus P. Ulzen, the party extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and honoured the victims for their service to the country.
“These gentlemen lost their lives in the service of the nation and the whole PAG family extends our condolences to the bereaved families,” the statement said.
PAG also called for a full-scale probe into the circumstances surrounding the crash, emphasising the importance of uncovering the truth to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
“We expect that a thorough investigation will reveal the cause or causes of this very unfortunate incident,” the party added.
The statement concluded with a prayer for the departed, noting, “We pray that their souls may rest in the bosom of the Lord in eternity.”
The crash has sent shockwaves across the nation, with many Ghanaians expressing deep sorrow over the loss of prominent figures and service personnel in what has been described as a national tragedy.
