"Who the Lord has blessed, no one can destroy" - Denkyira Traditional Council to Bawumia

The Denkyira Traditional Council has expressed its unwavering confidence in Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in his bid to lead Ghana as President.

Welcoming Dr. Bawumia to Dunkwa-on-Offin on Wednesday during his campaign tour, the Denkyira Traditional Council, in a speech delivered by Nana Kwame Nkrumah II, proclaimed that Dr. Bawumia is divinely blessed and beyond harm.

"Who the Lord has blessed, no one can destroy," the Chiefs declared.

Coinciding with Dr. Bawumia’s arrival, rains fell over the town, which the Traditional Council interpreted as a sign of divine favour.

"Your presence here is a blessing for all of us. The first sign of blessings you have brought to us is the rain. We have not seen rain here for some time, but today, as you arrived, God has opened the heavens. This is indeed a sign of blessings. It signifies victory," they said.

The Denkyira Traditional Council also praised Dr. Bawumia for his conduct and decency throughout the 2024 presidential campaign.

"Since you were elected flagbearer, we have noticed the decency in your communication. You do not insult. You are always focused on your policies and preaching against indecent comments," the Council noted.

"We have not heard you insult anyone since you started your campaign, and this shows that you are a man of wisdom who thinks deeply."

"You are humble and show great respect for the elderly and for everyone. May God bless you more."

The Chiefs also took the opportunity to commend the Akufo-Addo administration for its achievements, particularly the implementation of the Free SHS policy, which they said has brought relief to many homes in Denkyira.
