Highly-rated Rafael Mensah has dared fellow lightweight boxer, Emmanuel Tagoe, to prove the credibility of the nine different international titles he claims to have won so far.

The 25-year-old Mensah wants Tagoe, alias “Gameboy”, to point out which bouts of repute sanctioned by an international boxing authority earned him those belts.

Mensah, who is undefeated in 28 fights, with 20 knockouts, and is ranked fourth in the WBA lightweight division, was responding to the recent claims by Tagoe that he has nine belts to his name and fought outside the country unlike Mensah who had not achieved such feat.

According to the Bukom-based boxer, ever since he challenged Asamoah Gyan’s boxer to a brawl, Tagoe had rather resorted to flimsy excuses and insinuations in a bid to avoid him.

“We are both in the lightweight division and I’m ranked higher than him in the world rankings, but he is scared of me whenever I challenge him to a bout and I can’t tell why,” he noted.

Mensah, therefore, called on Gameboy, 27, and ranked 22, with 26 fights and a loss to come out and face him.

“If he is not running and afraid of me he must come and let’s fight”, Mensah told the Graphic Sports in a telephone interview.

Managers of the two boxers are yet to meet and take a decision on whether the two fighters would fight, despite recent moves to persuade Gameboy’s camp to accept the challenge.
