Frimpong said he was pleased with what Ferencvarosi have achieved and their focus would now be how to make a great impact in Europe’s biggest club competition.

“I am very happy with our output, we have played in the Europa League for a couple of years and we have now made it to the Champions League. Our journey was not easy, we defeated Djurgarden, Celtic, Dinamo Zagreb and saw off Molde after drawing 3-3 away and goalless at home,” Frimpong told Graphic Sports Online.
“Now the attention will be to go all out in the Champions League, we have a great squad and we believe in ourselves. We know we can do it.”
Frimpong, 27, has been one of Ghana’s most consistent players in Europe for the past years having played in clubs, including Serbian sides Napredak Kruševac of Serbia and Red Star Belgrade, although he is yet to earn a Black Stars call-up.
He previously played for the youth team of Italian side Vicenza and was adjudged the best player in the 2009 Romeo and Juliet Youth tournament in Italy.
