2016 AWC: Cameroun book semis ticket

Hosts, Cameroun, yesterday booked the first semi-finals ticket of the Africa Women's Championship after pipping South Africa 1-0 in their second Group A game played in Yaounde.

The Indomitable Lionesses who beat Egypt 2-0 on the opening day, made it six out of six points which safely sent them into the semi-finals.

It was, however, not smooth sailing for the hosts who laboured till the dying minutes of the game when they scored to seal victory and leave South Africa stranded. The South

Africans now face possible elimination from the group with one point from two games, unless they are able to pull through a win against Egypt in the final game.
