Lennon joined the Toffees on loan for the latter part of last season, and impressed during his 14 appearances for the club.

Everton have subsequently moved to sign the Spurs winger on a permanent basis, and a £5 million deal, including add-ons and bonuses, is understood to have been agreed in principle.

Goal understands that Lennon has begun his journey to Finch Farm to finalise his aspect of the transfer, though the two clubs still need to complete the relevant paperwork to rubbber-stamp the deal.

A source confirmed to Goal: "Roberto Martinez really wanted this deal and it looked to get away from them at one point, but now it is on and he should be an Everton player by Tuesday evening."

Lennon, who has made over 350 appearances for Spurs in total, has not featured for the club in 2015-16.
